My timeshare in Puerto Rico is in bankruptcy. I have defined weeks that I own. Currently only way to get any week is a request 6 months in advance, can I stop paying maintenance since the weeks I purchased are not automatically available each year.

Dear Judy,
In order to advise you correctly, we would need to know more about what timeshare resort you own. As a general rule, we do not recommend stopping your maintenance fees. Even though your timeshare company has filed for bankruptcy, maintenance fee collection will be actively managed and they could start debt collection processes against you. If you would like to know more about what your options are available, feel free to contact us info@timeshare.lawyer.
