Melia has reduced the number of properties that I signed up for from 9 to 5 properties, am I still obligated to see this contract through?

As a general rule, a timeshare company can not take your properties away from you if you have contracts for the said units. If they are stating the properties you have are less than what you have agreed to then this could be a contract breach. I would recommend a review of your ownership along with all recent communication from Melia to identify what your options are with a timeshare legal specialist.
