USA timeshare – What will happen if I stop paying maintenance fees?

I have a timeshare in Florida but am a UK citizen living in England. I am trying every avenue to sell/give away my timeshare but if, as a last resort, I just stop paying maintenance fees, what would be my situation?

      Dear Jean,

      A timeshare company’s primary income is maintenance fees so if you just stop paying it, they will use all means to recoup what is owed.  Many USA timeshare resort contracts can be ended easily with the help of timeshare experts and some are very quick to finalise but in order to advise you of your personal options we would need to know more about what you own.
