    Dear David,

    Thank you for your question.

Covid-19 resulted in long-term closures for resorts creating a huge backlog of owners unable to book their timeshare.  Unfortunately, the resorts are being very unaccommodating and are still demanding maintenance fee payments even if there is no availability.  As far as I’m aware, no timeshare contract protects owners against this type of event.

You have a few options, first of all, you could contact your timeshare company and ask what alternatives could be offered and if nothing is deemed to be acceptable, then maybe time to consider releasing yourself from your timeshare? (this will of course depend on what you have purchased). If you would like to know what possibilities are available to you, please contact us (UK) 0800 520 2322 (International) +44 800 520 2322 or message us on our online chat here: https://timeshare.lawyer/

    Dear Carla,

Thank you for your question, it can be very stressful when a company is suing you but you do have time to change this.

Hilton are in their rights to seek funds from you as you have signed an agreement with them. The only way that this can be resolved is to speak to Hilton to negotiate a payment plan or look into alternative options to release you from your financial obligations.

    Dear Robert,

Thank you for using our question and answer service.

Further to your question, what you have to remember is that a timeshare mortgage and a timeshare are two separate entities. In order to answer your question for you, as a general rule the answer is yes!. However, it all depends on what timeshare you own, what finance company you have an agreement with, when you purchased, what documents you have etc., You will need a full review of your timeshare documents by a timeshare legal professional.  If you would like to find out what your possibilities are, please feel free to contact us (UK) 0800 520 2322 or (International) +44 800 520 2322 or you can message us on our online chat here:  https://timeshare.lawyer/

    Dear Clavan,

Thank you for your question about selling your timeshare, In current times, many owners want rid of their timeshare but the sad reality is, you will find it extremely hard to sell. I have seen timeshares for sale on Ebay for as little as £1? The best options for anyone wanting out of their ownership are to relinquish or pursue a compensation claim (will depend on what you own).

I would not recommend paying £1500 in an attempt to “sell your timeshare” in the current market. If you would like any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us. (UK) 0800 520 2322/ (International) +44 800 520 2322 or use our online chat at https://timeshare.lawyer/
