In many cases fraudulent companies can merely reroute your maintenance fees to a different address to proliferate the guise that you have been freed from the responsibility of paying. In these cases one can in future find themselves with high outstanding debts. This is not to say it is your case of course, but you must be very aware and it is best to be in possession of one of these certificates.
