Hello, I have a timeshare that is supposedly being sold. Its in Mexico. My agent says Mexico requires me to send $6000 to them before any real estate transaction can be done. something to do with either taxes or something to do with the Bank needing the OK from the Mexican government to release my funds. The name of my agent is Business Brokers International out of New York. Is there any truth to this or is it a scam. Thank You, Fred

How do I get rid of my timeshare?

Hi, how can I legally surrender my timeshare? And would it cost a lot of money by hiring a solicitor to deal the matter ?

I have just found out that I have a lifetime suspension on 2 timeshares in Spain. How do I legally go about getting rid of them, I have not paid anything since 2014

We have been asking to exit for 5 years now and always get the same reply. You really have to be destitute before they will consider release. We only have 2000 points and have been told many times that we should never have been sold such a small number. We asked what would happen if we wanted to sell them and the answer was to convert to a timeshare week and then sell. Lo and behold we don’t have enough points to do so.
We are retired now and not fit enough to use the points. We have not paid the fees for 3 years and worry about the consequences.
We are not looking for money back for them we just want a release for our sanity.
