There are several timeshare exchange companies around the World. They are the only ones that usually offer flexibility to the members of one of them when planning their vacations.
Supposedly you can go on vacation at any time of the year, to a different resort whenever you want, in thousands of vacation destinations around the world. However, sometimes the availability of destinations and resorts is limited because it is usually something that is left to the decision of each resort.
That is, as an owner of timesharing and member of one of the timeshare exchange companies, you can choose if you want to return to your home resort year after year, if you want to swap your week for any of the thousands of affiliated resorts around the world, or if you want even alternate between the two. However, as I said before, all of this is at the discretion of each resort.
