I have been contacted by someone reporting to be from the Spanish court administration informing me that a claim for mis-selling has been award and that I have funds waiting to be released to me after I pay the court registration fee – is this a scam?

Dear Sandra,
In response to your question, a lot needs to happen prior to a case being submitted to the Spanish courts, some of the tasks are as follows: collation of documents, translation of paperwork, and a Power of Attorney must be arranged for any lawyer to represent you in a Spanish court and as you can appreciate, all this work does not happen for free. In my experience from what you are asking, this does seem very much like a scam.
