We bought two one week timeshare units on Mc Donalds Dona Lola on private re-sale in 2002. We paid our service charges and used our weeks until 2019, we paid 2020’s charge but could not use due to Corvid, we didn’t pay for 2021 as restrictions still applied. Mc Donalds continued to peruse payment and have now instructed solicitors who are being very heavy handed, Ideally we would like them to write off the disputed weeks and do a deal relative to handing back our weeks.

Dear David,
We hear of many owners in this situation, unfortunately, and yes we agree it is not right to have to pay for something you couldn’t use. Unfortunately, it is very easy to purchase a timeshare but getting out is very different.
If you are looking at the options to get out of your timeshare, the resort will make it quite difficult for you especially if you have not paid maintenance fees due to this being their primary income source.
In order to get the right advice to know your options, you need to speak to a timeshare expert who can review your timeshare documents and history and after studying your case, will be able to give you the options to consider. If that would be of interest, please feel free to contact us: (UK) 0800 520 2322 (USA) (888) 367-7055 (International) +44 800 520 2322 or message us on our online chat.
