With reference to your question, as with buying any kind of property, doing the purchase as an individual via a fully qualified practised lawyer in the jurisdiction the purchase is located would be the best option to avoid anything fraudulent. I would also recommend that you visit the timeshare and see the unit prior to any transfer of monies.
