I bought a week way back in the early ’90s at Puerta Calma resort in Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria. I paid over £8k and it came with 2 years free fees.
Roughly 6 months after the purchase I realised it would be of no use to me. I contacted the resort repeatedly informing them I did not need the week I purchased and could refund my money or as the management of the resort could they resell it for me. I never got a response to my numerous requests.
Then I started to get invoices for the annual fees. Again I contacted them again I was ignored. In voices kept coming for several years then stopped and I’ve heard nothing since! I honestly believe I was robbed of the £8k?

Dear Vinny,
First of all, I have edited your question a little to keep your personal info private. I am very sorry to hear that the resort is unwilling to help you which is very much a typical experience we hear a lot of people go through.
In order to look at the possibility to get your money back, I would advise you to have a full review of your timeshare documents and history with a timeshare legal specialist who will be able to identify the possibilities and advise you accordingly of your options.
