    Dear Madeline,

    Thank you for your question.

I am sorry to inform you that it is highly unlikely that you will be able to sell a timeshare and receive monies.  The best options right now for people wanting to dissolve their ownership is to relinquish or pursue a claim, having said that, both these options will depend on what you own and your timeshare history. Dear Jeff,

Thank you for asking your questions via Timeshare Lawyer.

If you are saying that you stopped paying maintenance fees over 10 years ago and your resort has not contacted you all this time, it is likely that your ownership may have been terminated. If you are saying you paid maintenance fees for 10 years and have now stopped paying it, they could seek legal action for non-payment.

If you would like to know what options are available to you then we would need to know more about your ownership history. For more information, please contact us (UK) 0800 520 2322 (International) +44 800 520 2322 or message us on our online chat here: https://timeshare.lawyer/

Thank you for using Timeshare Lawyer.

To answer your question, this information would need to be provided by Bluegreen directly.  I would like to point out that thousands of owners are finding it almost impossible to reserve their weeks purchased so would not recommend purchasing timeshare in this current market. As a general rule, a timeshare company can not take your properties away from you if you have contracts for the said units. If they are stating the properties you have are less than what you have agreed to then this could be a contract breach.   I would recommend a review of your ownership along with all recent communication from Melia to identify what your options are with a timeshare legal specialist.  If you need further assistance, please contact us (UK) 0800 520 2322 (International) +44 800 520 2322 or message us on our online chat here: https://timeshare.lawyer/

    Dear Charles,

First of all you will see I have omitted all private information in your question prior to publishing as this is a public forum.

To answer your question, there are a couple of things to consider. If you withdraw yourself  along with your wife from a shared contract with another couple, it will then mean that the other party will have to pay your share of the maintenance fees, change the contract into their names only and you will lose the right to any monies paid should you want to pursue a claim in the future.

If both parties agree to this, the next step is to write to your resort and ask how to withdraw you and your wife from the contract.  Should you need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us: (UK) 0800 520 2322 (International) +44 800 520 2322 or message us on our online chat here: https://timeshare.lawyer/
