My inlaws have a week timeshare in keswick but have been told this year that the week has been repossessed due to non payment of managenent fees as per their contract. However they didnt receive any communication of this as they were not at their home for 18 months which the company were aware of. The fees for 2021 were not paid as there was debate over the amount during covid as they were unable to use their week during 2020 and 2021 (despite 2020 being paid in full). They still want to keep their week and it was a 99year contract held since the site was built. I suspect the company want to resell the week as they now offer much shorter contracts so can make more money out of it but cant prove this. Can I argue the week should not have been repossessed?

Hi I’m a Marriott timeshare owner in Andalucia, Spain

This 2020 since I did not deposit it immediately to interval they only give me 6 months

I can’t travel abroad were 4 in the family and besides were health care workers.

I did try to sell it many times but its too difficult to sell it

Next year I’m gonna pay again the maintenance in which I have not used my 2020 and 6 months only given for me to look for a holiday

They should be considerate

Next, can you help me sell it even I will get about 75 percent of the £11000 pounds I paid

Pls advise.

I purchased a 6 berth apartment for 6 years have only used 3 years. They cancelled in lockdown 2020 and I had to cancel through covid 2021.
They say I have to take these weeks before 2024 but are only offering me a 4 berth in November.
I bought a 6 berth because of my grandchildren so a 4 berth would not be big enough. The week I have is in June so would not want November when it is cold and nothing in the area is open.
If they can’t provide me with 6 berth in summer time can I ask for part of my money back and the maintenance fee I have had to pay

My timeshare resort was damaged by Hurricane Sally in 2020 and as repairs are being made they remain closed during my fixed week. I own 3 weeks and have paid over $3000. In maintenance fees for 2021. Now I’ve been told they have already rescheduled as many as they can and have no availability left for future reservations. And I will just lose my weeks. Although they are not refunding my maintenance fees. Shouldn’t the resort have to compensate the timeshare owners for their loss? The damage previously mentioned is being covered by insurance.

Thank you.

My husband and I bought one week of timeshare 1999 and another week at the same resort a few years later at Bahia Blanca Gran Caneria. We continued with maintenance payments till his death in 2004 I continued for a while then misguidedly tried ‘Sell my timeshare’ in 2006. They are under investigation by police and I got my £6000 back via sect 75 with Nat West about 2017. I used Preteorian Legal to get out of the annual maintenance contract as they broke off their contract with Bahia Blanca via a Tenerife address who owned the site.
However the initial outlay of £12,000 I am still out of pocket. As I am now 67 years old this money would now be useful to me. I was informed last year the company we bought our first year with at Bahia Blanca sold the business on 2000 and we had no new contract with the new owners for maintenance but we paid it never the less
