    Dear John,

First of all, you could try terminating directly with your resort, however, you may experience the company being unwilling to assist you due to the loss of your yearly maintenance fees and will add a hefty admin fee and require maintenance fees to be up to date.

The alternative to this would be to use a 3rd party company that specialises in timeshare termination. Initially, I would advise you to arrange a full review of your timeshare documents and history by a timeshare legal professional to find out what your options are. If you have not spoken to us yet, feel free to contact us: (UK) 0800 520 2322 (International) +44 800 520 2322 or message us on our online chat.

    Dear Steve,

Further to your question regarding the Timeshare Investigation Board, I personally have not heard of such a company, I also tried to locate their website on Google to no avail. If you are familiar with their web address, there are some simple things you can do to see if there are any red flags:

1: How old is their website?

2: Where are the company located and what is the office address – put their address into Google maps and see what appears, does it look like a credible office that legal services would operate from?

3: Are they registered with their residing country’s authorities, for instance, Companies House if in the UK and also look at how long the company has been registered.

4: Can they present you with actual proof they can fulfil what they are offering.

If you come across any red flags that this company is not authentic do not engage with anything they have to offer, it could save you a lot of money and anxiety.

If you are considering legal services, be extremely careful as there are a lot of unscrupulous companies out there. if you are looking for assistance or advice with a timeshare you own, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Dear Sandra,

In response to your question, a lot needs to happen prior to a case being submitted to the Spanish courts, some of the tasks are as follows: collation of documents, translation of paperwork, and a Power of Attorney must be arranged for any lawyer to represent you in a Spanish court and as you can appreciate, all this work does not happen for free. In my experience from what you are asking, this does seem very much like a scam.
