We have been asking to exit for 5 years now and always get the same reply. You really have to be destitute before they will consider release. We only have 2000 points and have been told many times that we should never have been sold such a small number. We asked what would happen if we wanted to sell them and the answer was to convert to a timeshare week and then sell. Lo and behold we don’t have enough points to do so.
We are retired now and not fit enough to use the points. We have not paid the fees for 3 years and worry about the consequences.
We are not looking for money back for them we just want a release for our sanity.

My partner and I have a timeshare with Heritage. My partner passed away in February and I want to sell it. When I contacted Heritage they told me to contact a company called leisure and travel. I did this and they told me they would sell it for £5000 and I would get maintenance fees and £499 which I had to pay for advertising for 6 months. They contacted me and have now suggested they advertise it as open to offer and I needed to pay ad additional £349 to continue advertising. Is there an easier way to sell.

A timeshare paid for with a loan when paid off. Who owns it, the loan company or the ‘purchaser’. That is, is the seller paid for it upfront via the loan company, so the seller no longer owns it? So then who does? The purchaser with the contract with the seller or the loan company? Thank you.
