We had a timeshare package with Club la-costa over 15 years ago. Would our claim still be valid? It was mid sold and we could never book when and where we wanted. We lost thousands of pounds.

Hi my grandma has a timeshare at lost valley lake resort in Missouri. She’s retired and doesn’t use it and can’t afford it anymore. She’s trying to figure out how to get out. I’ve tried helping her still it since she’s not at all tech savvy. But I haven’t had any luck. Do you guys help people get out of them

Signed contract in Spain with Club La Costa. Did not want to proceed but kept us there for 8 hours trying to sell. Finally convinced us in Feb 2007 to sign. My husband was ill at the time too and the pressure did not help. We finally ended up with a 27,000 loan with GE money. Made 3 payments but could not afford it any longer. They took us to court and debt was passed to their sister company to whom we now pay £4.00 a month. Still stuck with £49.000 debt. With interest. My husband went on to have cancer, was made redundant and then had to give up our home. We now rent and are too old to proceed with a mortgage. It was a total nightmare and wished we never got on that plan. I wrote to David Cameron about our nightmare. They destroyed our life!

My husband and I bought one week of timeshare 1999 and another week at the same resort a few years later at Bahia Blanca Gran Caneria. We continued with maintenance payments till his death in 2004 I continued for a while then misguidedly tried ‘Sell my timeshare’ in 2006. They are under investigation by police and I got my £6000 back via sect 75 with Nat West about 2017. I used Preteorian Legal to get out of the annual maintenance contract as they broke off their contract with Bahia Blanca via a Tenerife address who owned the site.
However the initial outlay of £12,000 I am still out of pocket. As I am now 67 years old this money would now be useful to me. I was informed last year the company we bought our first year with at Bahia Blanca sold the business on 2000 and we had no new contract with the new owners for maintenance but we paid it never the less
