I have been cold-called by a claims company saying I have a claim on a Marriott timeshare I bought in 2010, it’s a Spanish contract / floating week that are apparently illegal now they tell me ??
They want a £5000 upfront fee so pretty sure they are scammers.
I would like some advice on if any of this is true and if I have a claim or not.

We bought two one week timeshare units on Mc Donalds Dona Lola on private re-sale in 2002. We paid our service charges and used our weeks until 2019, we paid 2020’s charge but could not use due to Corvid, we ...Read more
We bought two one week timeshare units on Mc Donalds Dona Lola on private re-sale in 2002. We paid our service charges and used our weeks until 2019, we paid 2020’s charge but could not use due to Corvid, we didn’t pay for 2021 as restrictions still applied. Mc Donalds continued to peruse payment and have now instructed solicitors who are being very heavy handed, Ideally we would like them to write off the disputed weeks and do a deal relative to handing back our weeks.
