Hi we bought a timeshare with Anfi in 2010. I paid £200 a month for nearly 6 years but I only paid the annual fee for 1 year as we could not afford it. Would we be due any money back? We only went twice as they told us if we didn’t pay the annual fee we couldn’t go. I finished paying off the contract thinking that we had to and it was only towards the end we were told we didn’t need to! So the last couple of payments never got paid.

I have a timeshare in Malta. My question is, I have paid 2020 maintenance fees of £980 but couldn’t go last year due to the pandemic.
I want to book a week in October and they won’t confirm the booking until I pay 2021 maintenance fees.

Can they do that? Because I have paid for the week I want. And also they say I have to take 2021 weeks this year which I can’t. But they are holding me to ransom for £980 in order to take a week I have already paid for.

Please could you tell me if they can do that.

We bought this in 2014 and have had a number of companies getting us out – my question is there any way I can check if we are out as we don’t get any maintenance bills and have had no contact with them since 2017

For some strange reason we cannot fix the problem of answering this question so I have the response here from a lawyer who specialises in current Silverpoint cases.

Dear Robert,

The liquidation of Silverpoint is very complicated and there is not a website you can find out this information, you would need to appoint Spanish legal representation to investigate. Having said that even though the maintenance bills have stopped, you still have a right to a possible claim (will depend on what you purchased from Silverpoint). We originally purchase a week in Malta Salina wharf however, once purchase we could never book a room, we eventually ended up changing to flexible points, again however we could never book any room with RCI in the end we gave back the week this was after 4-5 years with them very disappointed and difficult to make a booking
