We bought two one week timeshare units on Mc Donalds Dona Lola on private re-sale in 2002. Signed contract in Spain with Club La Costa. Did not want to proceed but kept us there for 8 hours trying to sell. Finally convinced us in Feb 2007 to sign. My husband was ill at the time too and the pressure did not help. We finally ended up with a 27,000 loan with GE money. Made 3 payments but could not afford it any longer. They took us to court and debt was passed to their sister company to whom we now pay £4.00 a month. Still stuck with £49.000 debt. With interest. My husband went on to have cancer, was made redundant and then had to give up our home. We now rent and are too old to proceed with a mortgage. It was a total nightmare and wished we never got on that plan. I wrote to David Cameron about our nightmare. They destroyed our life!
