Hello my mum is recently deceased and she was the owner of a timeshare. Unfortunately due to ill health she has been unable to use it. She had tried to sell this but was unable to. I am not sure if she has paid for the upkeep of this! What do I need to do? Does her timeshare die with her or do I need to contact them ?

My husband died 2 years ago and I am 81 years and can not travel to Tenerife or afford to pay the maintenance each year I have constantly requested that Club Hotel sell the timeshare and pay the amount outstanding this has been going on for 2 years but they are saying that if I don’t pay they will start proceedings. Please can you advise me.

Our solicitors say they will provide a notarised letter stating that our timeshare contract with MGM has been terminated and that under no circumstances should I contact MGM – if they contact me for unpaid maintenance payments I should contact the solicitors. I am feeling more and more uneasy about this as I was hoping for a notarised letter from Muthu saying that the contract had been terminated, Will our solicitor’s letter stand up in court ?

I have a timeshare in Malta. My question is, I have paid 2020 maintenance fees of £980 but couldn’t go last year due to the pandemic.
I want to book a week in October and they won’t confirm the booking until I pay 2021 maintenance fees.

Can they do that? Because I have paid for the week I want. And also they say I have to take 2021 weeks this year which I can’t. But they are holding me to ransom for £980 in order to take a week I have already paid for.

Please could you tell me if they can do that.
