I was sold a pure points system for sunset beach over 11 years ago I was informed that they would purchase it back when my husband was told he has terminal cancer they refused to give moneys back I phoned and emailed them I refused to pay fees after a few years would I still be entitled to claim ?

I bought a timeshare in Malta which had a 25 year ‘contract’ which was fine. But in Jan 2012, I was offered free holiday in Tenerife, only condition being that I would attend a presentation I was not allowed to take my friend in with me and the culmination was that I ended up paying £3400 to exchange to a point system. I later discovered that this contract was in perpetuity, and I have never used it during the last 9 years due to severe mental health issues . My son has used it once . We are paying out money for something we don’t use. What can I do?

We have had a timeshare for 42 years, And the freeholder has written to us saying that he has sold the complex and we will receive an amount calculated by him based on the amount he has agreed to sell it for to a private consortium less 31% for all of the dealings costs involved.
He has built up a controlling stake of unsold weeks in the complex and proposes to send us out a waiver to sign relinquishing our rights of ownership in exchange for a sum that he thinks is a fair price for our apartments.
Is this legal?

We were also swindled into taking out a new time share using technical terms we didn’t understand to get us into signing up something that we’re not getting the benefits from

Hi there, I have an elderly aunt looking for some advice for her timeshare. She has a timeshare in Lanzarote and because of COVID-19 she lost her job and is currently struggling financially. I’m trying to find out the options for her. I have spoken to the resort but all they can do is offer a payment plan and split the yearly fee into monthly. Please could you let us know what could happen if she stopped paying it.

I can no longer afford my timeshare week as it has gone from £500 to £617.62. I have had it for 17 years and now only have my state pension.
I have called the office twice, emailed 3 times & explained this and told them I have to give it up & asked how to go about this. So far I have not had any response.
Any advice would be great.
