I have owned a deeded timeshare at celebration world resort (which is now festiva) for about 20 years. For the first say 15 years I was told I had week 52, which meant I counted to the 52nd Friday of the year and that is when my week started. Now , starting last year when I called to exchange my week into rci, festiva tells me that I have points assigned to me and they tell me what weeks are available to me to exchange with rci. My deed states that my week is in “The plan” . I am trying to find out what the plan is within my deeded timeshare originally thru celebration world resort. I believe festiva is trying to get everyone into their points system even though we have a deeded week.

We have waited over 18 months to have a pool light on our timeshare villa repaired. The resort repeatedly lie about when it will be repaired. In November we woke up to find the light floating in the pool. We were so concerned as we had our grandchildren staying with us and were worried about safety.

Whilst staying at a Heritage Resort in Spain, we were approached by their manager to see if we wanted to dispose of our timeshare and offered a way to do so. It involved paying a lump sum and in return, they took our timeshare (2 wks in Tenerife) so we had no further responsibility and gave us a 3 year introductory membership into the Heritage Resort Club with the promise of a holiday each year at a one of their resorts and at the end of the 3 years we can walk away knowing that we have no further responsibility to our timeshare and no requirement to join their club. I am concerned this may be a scam. Do you have any thoughts on this?

We took over an RCI timeshare and turned it into points. We took o er from my parents who bought it in around 1985 in Tenerife. I would now like to get out of this with it without any monies ...Read more

We took over an RCI timeshare and turned it into points. We took o er from my parents who bought it in around 1985 in Tenerife. I would now like to get out of this with it without any monies as the rent is over £1,000 a year.
